Whist/Pinochle Tournament Generator

Seeder and optimizer with round reordering, for 20 players and up. Expand a seed row into a schedule, then balance how often each player sits at each table. Ready-made schedules are in the tournament creator, and the method is explained in the overview.

1 Schedule seeder

For 20 (4n) players and up (16 players has been worked out by JDAWiseman). Seeds come from Durango Bill's cyclic solutions.

From Durango Bill's site, or type your own row.

1d Schedule (pairs syntax)

2 Schedule optimizer

Adaptive table balancing: the search scales with the tournament size.

Strict guarantees the rule and now searches round order as well as table labels, which reaches ~90%+ even at 20 players and 100% from about 32 players up. Balanced and Relaxed may trade a violation for distribution, but rarely need to.
